BV as in “bad vibes”. Whoever invented that acronym sure has a way of capturing the feeling. You don’t say “Today was a disaster”, or “I feel like a mess”.

You just say “BV”

I know it’s not good to dwell on the things that made you feel bad, but I just have to list all the things that made me BV so I could, I don’t know, move on. (I know if I read this like a week from now, I’ll probably just laugh it off. So I might as well indulge)

In no particular order:

1. Branch Managers

Oh she better thank her lucky stars I was raised properly or I might have answered her back real good. I was up half the night last night thinking of all the mean things I will say to her face if I ever see her which I hope will be never.

2. (Okay so I totally paused here. I mean when I come to think of it, the branch manager issue was actually the highlight of this ruined day.)

AH! I remember another one.

2. Cash advance

If I still want to have my job tomorrow, I’m not to disclose anything. Anyway, the thing here is, there was this cardholder who got delayed going to China this morning for a meeting because he cannot withdraw from his credit card a measly three thousand pesos.

And they’re blaming us!

So again, which foreigner / company president in their right mind would leave the country and not have a single centavo for taxi?

3. Follow ups

So they email you asking for their statement of accounts at 9:30 and they email again at 9:44 for a follow up.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!? What are we, like machines???

4. Sloooooooooooooooooooooooow computer

I bet my computer was invented way before the Jurassic age. No matter how you wanted to have the job done, you just can’t. And it’s awkward telling a client on the phone, “Ma’am / Sir can you hold? My PC just hanged.”

5. Sales call

Okay, so this is kind of shallow but my teammate Tanya just had a sales call with my happy crush officer. For two times in two months. And I was already five months but there was never an opportunity.

So being the sensitive person that I am, I cried. I got fed up at around 3PM (I know cause I checked the time) and went out of the building. I walked along Paseo de Roxas and totally took my time walking around Valero and even killed more time by going inside a thrift bookstore to check books on display. I even got stuck scanning a coffee table book of the Phantom of the Opera.

Then when I got back, it’s still there. My PC is still there and the work is still there waiting for me.

Oh well.

The only thing that totally rocked this day was my other happy crush from the department above us went to our floor this morning.
